南高叢品系
品種名:奧尼爾（O'Neal）(オニール)
發表時間:1987年(在北卡羅萊納州大學和美國農業部聯合開發)南高叢品系的標準品種
Wolcott與Fla. 4-15品種育種而成。
樹型及特性:
樹姿為開張性、直立性(亦有一說半直立性)、樹勢強 (亦有一說樹勢:中)、樹高約1.5公尺(有說1.8公尺)、抗熱性佳、果實生產力高,可自花結果,但若要豐產最好種植二種品種以上為佳。(另有日本苗商資料:樹勢強、豊産性、耐暑性強、耐陰性やや弱い、耐乾性強、耐寒性中)
栽培上的特徵:
開花期間較長及土壤適應性廣(亦有一說土壤ph 值低於 5.0 最好)。
收穫期:極早生 (各地不同，僅供參考)(有一說為6月中旬~下旬)

果實顏色:藍色
果實大小、特性: 大粒 (另有一說為中-大粒) (約16㎜～20㎜)、果皮為青色.果肉硬度良好、果粉少、果實為扁圓形、香氣優
甘味:中等(BX平均13.5%)(有一說13-17%前後)，酸味:少(PH:4.53)，風味香氣:優良(被認為是南高叢裡味道最佳的品種之一)
果蒂痕的大小、乾溼 : 小、速乾
建議授粉樹:Star
此品種栽培容易、有良好的果蒂痕、甜味強、是南高叢品系中風味絕佳的品種，在各方面的缺點少、適合大面積種植，是值得推薦種植的品種之一。
低溫要求時間: 400-500hrs(資料來源:日本. 美國)…亦有一說200hrs

Southern Highbush — (low chill, tolerates heat). Large fruit is especially sweet and flavorful. Early season. Soil must be acidic, high in humus. 5 -6ft . bush. 200 hours. Self-fruitful, but plant 2 varieties for biggest crops.

- Bloom often begins in the fall and continues during warm periods until normal bloom time.
- Ripens late April to early May
Very early ripening. Fruit are large with good flavor, firmness, and stem scar. Plants are moderately vigorous and semi-upright. Chilling requirements are 450 to 500 hours. Suggested pollinator is Star.
The O’Neal Blueberry is nice southern highbush variety. Its beautiful white flowers make it a profuse bloomer each spring. The bloom period is extended compared to other blueberry cultivars. O’Neal is one of the earliest blueberries to ripen. The tasty berries are considered to have one of the best flavors of all southern highbush blueberries.

Oneal is one of the best tasting southern highbush varieties. Flavor will not deteriorate under hot weather conditions. Fruit size is very large and attractive. Height around 6' and well proportioned. Space 5' circle. Introduced from NC. Berries are delicious and sweeten up early. Fall color is orange and wine. Native. Zones 5-9.

奧尼爾（O'Neal）據搜尋來的資料是栽培容易.好吃又豐產的藍莓品種~~也是缺點少、適合大面積種植被推薦種植的品種~~是真的很好吃沒錯~~但在我這邊確沒豐產~奇哉..怪哉..難道是我照顧方式有誤~~~~是因為它葉子太早掉光養分供給不足所以才沒辦法大量開花結果(它是極早生或早生的品種)...還是像格友所說是我沒在植株開花結果後加氮肥讓它長新葉供給營養~~所以才長得不好???(葉子的確是很少~好像冬天掉光了???)今年沒注意它的開花結果狀況~~明年要稍微注意一下(我有看另一位朋友種植的奧尼爾（O'Neal）今年的狀況也不是很好)
另外感覺奧尼爾（O'Neal）的幼苗不好照顧~~很多扦插成功的後來只要沒有注意照料就悄悄地陣亡了~~等我看到就來不及了

在日本枝條分支是紅色的~~在台灣好像沒有~~但花芽是明顯比其它品種偏紅~~以下兩張照於102年12月8日(天氣較冷時)。
